Bear Lodge

This is a historic log home has been totally remodeled and offers 4,800 square feet of living space. There are seven bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and two half bathrooms. A large open floor plan encompasses the first floor, with an expansive living room space with a fireplace. The large windows showcase the breathtaking views of historical Walloon Lake. The large, gourmet kitchen comes equipped with all the necessities. The open living space leads out to a large patio, perfect for relaxing and watching the notorious Walloon Lake sunsets.

The master bedroom is on the first floor with a king size bed, and an attached bathroom with a large soaking tub, walk in shower and double vanity. Past the master on the first floor is another living room with a wet bar, half bath, and plenty of seating to relax and watch TV. Upstairs, there are six more bedrooms and three full bathrooms.

This home is a little past Walloon Lake Village. It is in the perfect location to either run to Boyne City or Petoskey. The beach area is level and sandy. There is a dock to park your boat, or rent one from the local Walloon Village boat rentals. Cable and wi-fi are included, minimum age to reserve is 30.

The weather allowed us to enjoy all of the outdoor activities that were offered..pickle ball on the tennis court, botching ball, kayaking.. And when it cooled down the house was perfect for the group the relax.

  We rented Bear Lodge for our annual fall family vacation with our children and grandchildren. The house size was great for all of us. It was nice to have two separate living spaces and plenty of bedrooms for everyone to have space to be together and to have private space. The house was clean and well-maintained. The location is good because it is close to many places that offer a variety of things to do. We only had a couple small questions for the property management staff, which they answered very quickly.   My friends and I were in town for a wedding in Petoskey and this place was absolutely perfect. Plenty of shared space, but also private space to spread out. Wish we could have stayed longer, the place was fabulous.
  Helpful note: there is white sign with a black bird that makes the driveway easier to find.

  This home was perfect! Seven of us friends gathered here and the home offered everything we could hope for! The gathering living space was comfortable and clean. All except one bedroom had a view of the beautiful lake. We did yoga on the dock, enjoyed paddle boards and kayaks. The kitchen and beautiful patio both offered dining spaces. Master bedroom and bath were spacious and luxurious! We had everything we needed! I would recommend this home to anyone!

  We had two families that stayed at this property with 6 children. We came to Boyne to do some winter activities at the mountain and wanted somewhere that brought nostalgia of a winter vacation with it. We were so impressed with this property. It was absolutely beautiful. The property was so large and was perfect for our group. We enjoyed dinners together and played many of the board games by the big fireplace. We would love to come visit this place in the summer! What a great location. Close to Boyne, shopping, and just serene enough to relax in the evening. Will visit again!

  We stayed over NYE to celebrate the new year, and ski for a few days at Boyne and Nubs Nob. The property suited our needs perfectly, and accommodated our two families. The main living room with the fireplace was everyone’s favorite spot, but the separate media room allowed the adults to have some quite time while the kids watched a movie. We want to return in the summer.
