  This was our second stay in this little gem on Walloon lake. There were a few upgrades from last year. It just keeps getting better and better. Look forward to another stay at this location in the future. Perfect for our family. There is even a newly upgraded dock (boat rental location straight across the lake).

  We have stayed here two years in a row , would stay again if available. It is a great location, beautiful open yard and view of lake. Place to dock boat, conveniently located next to boat launch. 5 minute drive to bay harbor, close to downtown petoskey. Clean, and great size for our family of 5 with room for their friends to comfortably sleep. Thank you for sharing your home with us, great memories.

  True cottage on a great location on the west arm at Walloon Lake.
  
  On the east, or sunset, side of the west arm, the view and location could not be better. Directly across from Bear Cove Marina, great neighbors, awesome lake spot, and a very nice sized yard facing the lake.
  
  The two outdoor minuses are the dock, which is small, old, and wooden. It does not have a true sunning or sitting area. The other is that there is a boat launch right next-door. It’s not a busy launch, so there’s not a ton of boats there, but they go right in front of the dock to the launch. Owners should put a swimming buoy 100 feet off the dock, so boats don’t some come so close to the end of the dock.
  
  Inside, the Cottage is small, and needs updates. On the plus side, it has a great (and big) outdoor deck, with a nice picnic table and plenty of deck furniture. Good gas grill, with a gorgeous view as you grill and eat dinner outside. There is a bunk room as one of the bedrooms upstairs, with a queen bed and two double trundle‘s, so plenty of sleeping room for kids.
  
  Like I said, a true cottage. Don’t expect an update at home, but it is a great place to spend a week or two on Walloon Lake and a very good value.

  Had a great time at Walloon lake, one of the best we've ever had up north. The water is incredibly clear. The house is older but everything is functional and clean and the view is stunning. Just about 10 minutes drive from downtown Petoskey if you want to eat out or shop. 5 min drive to beautiful sunsets over Lake Michigan. It's right next to the public boat launch, but completely screened out by a very tall and solid hedge, and we only heard them occasionally over the weekend, not a nuisance. Overall, a great experience.

  the house was easy to find, location was excellent and the water and view of the lake were fantastic. The kitchen had everything we needed and the rooms provided plenty of space for our 4 adults and one infant. The downstairs bedroom has the bunk beds and the two larger room are upstairs; both bathrooms are on the first floor which worked out fine. My only call outs are the deck needs refinishing as nails and paint were sticking out and peeling; the house is next to the local boat launch which was fine, the house has all the privacy needed, but there were a lot of boats in and out so something to consider if you have a big group of kids or adults swimming in front of the house. Overall our stay was fantastic and highly recommend renting a boat from Tommy’s on the south side of the lake. Great spot and we would rent again!

  We had the greatest family vacation at the cabin on Walloon Lake. The 3 bedrooms were perfect for our family of 6 adults and 1 toddler. The views from the back porch are breathtaking. We loved having the dock to jump in the lake and enjoy morning coffees. The pastry that was dropped off at check in was a great touch and so yummy! One thing to note was the listing mentioned air conditioning but it did not have it.
